The REVSTAR system
What is REVSTAR?
REVSTAR is OXZA's modular hydrofoil system: front wings, masts, fuselages, stabilizers and connection hardware designed together so any compatible combination rides as one piece. It covers wingfoil, windsurf-foil and kitefoil.
What do the letters A, C, L, R and S mean?
They are ride families. A = Allround (confidence, range, progression). C = Carve / Control (sharper turns). L = Lift / Glide (early lift, low-speed glide). R = Race / Performance (faster profiles). S = Speed Halo (maximum top-end speed, in iteration).
What is the difference between family and shape?
Family is how the wing is meant to ride. Shape (Flow, Glide, Arc, Velocity) is the physical mold. Family C is molded two ways — T8 and EZ — so the shape badge on each wing page tells you which.
Who makes OXZA foils?
OXZA designs and builds REVSTAR in Hood River, Oregon, in the Columbia River Gorge. It was founded by Tony Logosz, who has been shaping since 1981, ran design at Slingshot Sports from 1999 to 2024, and is the named inventor on three US patents including the one-pump inflatable kite manifold. Gear is sold direct to riders.
What is TRON-X?
TRON-X is the construction identity behind every REVSTAR part — carbon, aluminium and titanium laid up, machined and finished in-house. OXZA does not publish layup schedules, resin systems or fibre orientation.
Connections: OX, T8, EZ, MTC
What is OX Lock?
OX Lock is OXZA's quick-connect between wing, fuselage and mast. The bending load sits on a machined shoulder, so bolts only clamp — lower torque, higher stiffness, no play over time. Fourteen revisions in.
What is T8 and will my T8 gear work?
T8 is the wing-to-fuselage interface used by SAB, Phantasm-style and other foils. Every REVSTAR A-family wing and every FU600 / FU700 / FU860 fuselage is available in T8, so you can keep your mast and migrate one part at a time.
Can I put a T8 wing on an OX fuselage?
No. OX and T8 are not cross-compatible and OXZA does not make an adapter — an adapter adds a joint, and removing joints is the point of OX Lock. Buy the fuselage in the connection your wings use.
What is EZ?
EZ is the connection on the C (EZ), L and R wings. It has its own fuselage interface. Ask before ordering if you intend to mix EZ wings with T8 or OX fuselages.
What is an MTC mast?
MTC is the Twin-Connect mast. Its board-side head accepts a pedestal or a tuttle box, so one mast works across boards with different mounts. MTC lengths are 80–120 cm and are coming soon.
Choosing parts
Which front wing should a beginner buy?
An A-family wing. Riders 75–95 kg start on the REVSTAR-A 800; heavier riders or light wind go A 1100; lighter or more powered riders go A 725s. Read the first-foil guide in the Journal for the full path.
What mast length should I get?
84–94 cm covers most wingfoilers. 74 cm is a learning tool for flat water. 104 cm and up for advanced wing, kite and downwind. 128–146 cm for windsurf-foil race.
Which fuselage length?
FU700 is the all-round default. FU600 for reactive, freestyle or speed. FU860 for glide, stability and big wings. FU1000 is titanium-only for windsurf race.
Aluminium, carbon or titanium?
Fit is identical. Aluminium 7075-T6 is the best value and very durable. Carbon saves weight. Titanium is stiffest and corrosion-proof. Start on AL and upgrade the fuselage later — the wings and mast carry over.
Does aspect ratio matter more than size?
Yes. Area sets how much lift; aspect ratio sets how the wing makes it. High AR (11–13) glides and pumps efficiently but demands technique. Mid AR (7–9) is forgiving and progressive. Pick family, then AR, then size.
Why are the S-family specs blank?
The three Speed Halo wings (390, 450, 550) are in active iteration. Span and aspect ratio are published only when the production geometry locks.
Buying direct
Why doesn't OXZA sell through dealers?
Direct removes the distributor, dealer and rep layers between the workshop and the rider. Prices are what the gear costs plus what it takes to build the next one — nothing skimmed off the top.
Where do you ship?
Orders ship direct from Hood River, Oregon. US shipping is live at launch; international shipping is being added by region. Email info@oxzawind.com for your country.
What currency are prices in?
US dollars.
What is the warranty?
Two-year structural warranty on carbon parts. Hardware and consumables are replaced at cost. Impact damage is assessed case by case.
Can I visit the workshop?
Yes. If the door in Hood River is open, come in.
Care and hardware
How tight should the bolts be?
Snug plus a quarter turn with a 6 mm key. OX Lock carries load on the shoulder, so bolts only clamp. Never use a power driver on titanium into aluminium.
Do I need anti-seize?
Yes — a small amount of marine anti-seize or Tef-Gel on every thread, every assembly, especially titanium into aluminium.
How do I look after the foil?
Rinse in fresh water after salt, break down and re-grease every few weeks, inspect threads for galling, store dry and disassembled over winter.
How do I order a replacement part?
Email info@oxzawind.com with the SKU printed on the part and a photo. Bolt kits and spares ship direct; structural parts are assessed first.
