In 2011 Tony built the first hand-held wing prototypes and put them away. Foiling was not ready — the boards were wrong, the foils were wrong, and a wing with no foil under it is just a sail you have to hold.
He took them back out in 2015 and paired one with a large foil he was developing at the time. He was up and riding almost immediately: cutting upwind, working swell, no mast, no lines, no kite. He was photographed with that prototype in Hood River the same year.
The first Slingwing shipped in 2019. Within two seasons wing foiling was a sport with its own gear category, its own events and its own beginners.

OXZA does not claim Tony Logosz invented wing foiling. Several people arrived at the idea in the same window: Naish prototyped in autumn 2018, and Ken Winner at Duotone and Rob Whittall at Ozone have their own claims. What the public record shows is that Tony's prototypes are the earliest documented — built 2011, ridden on a foil 2015, shipped 2019. We publish the dates and leave the crown alone.
